Business is Business Even When Entertainment is Involved: Markeith Williams and Wes Ehmig Look at Where Success Comes From
Markeith Williams and Wes Ehmig sound off on what entertainment industry professionals can do to make a difference in their careers.
/Magazines PR News/ - DURHAM, NC, July 09, 2008 - With the launch of their new audio coaching program, Master The Game, Wes Ehmig and Markeith Williams are reaching out to entertainment professionals to conduct their business in a manner that exceeds their expectations. The two men came up with the idea while working with a number of people in the entertainment industry, from multiplatinum artists to Grammy nominated producers, recognizing issues that continuously came up. "I noticed that everyone, no matter where they were in their careers were running into the same issues," said Williams, "Everyone was having trouble managing their time, and their money, and their focus" he continued.
Ehmig, managing partner of Wiser Business Practices, has spent most of his career helping businesses streamline and design efficient practices, "When Markeith first brought the idea to me I was not sure how to approach it," adds Ehmig. Master The Game, was designed with the idea of helping entertainment industry professionals create positive change in their business lives. "I wanted it to be something that would set people in the right direction," mentioned Williams as he sat back in his chair, "I love music and love seeing the people who make it be in control of their lives," Williams muttered.
Williams, who also helps young artists distribute their music around the world on one of the planets largest digital distribution platforms, has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry all over the world, and still remains the head of River Sity Alliance Inc. Master The Game follows his book on the subject from last year and he is expected to release a fiction title before the end of the year. "We want to make the world a better place, and it seemed like no better place to start than with those who influence people through their work," commented Ehmig.
Both Markeith Williams and Wes Ehmig see Master The Game as an opportunity to give back and begin coaching relationships with new up and coming entertainment industry professionals. Both Ehmig and Williams aim to help entertainers around the world determine what they want and how to capture their share. Using technology and their connections in various industries, the two have put together a program focused on going beyond goal setting, and time management into cutting edge and sometimes controversial ideas to help take careers to new levels.
Williams and Ehmig also take a moment to attack some of the financial industries common practices and blow the whistle on certain concepts that are perpetuated on a regular basis. They very openly criticize techniques used and in many occasions label them traps for both the rich and the almost famous. Both have experience working on the institutional money management side and are not out to make too many new friends in the financial services industry. Ultimately they are focused on teaching entertainment industry professionals to do what is best for them.
