Margaret Evans has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who for her outstanding work and dedication to the Publishing Industry.
MT. LAWLEY, PERTH, AUSTRALIA, November 23, 2009 /Stanford Who's Who/-- Margaret Evans has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who for her outstanding work and dedication to the Publishing Industry. She has spent the last 32 years in the business and is currently the Managing Editor for NOVA Magazine.
NOVA Magazine is a holistic health and lifestyle publication that was established in Perth back in March 1994 and is greatly popular in their home state of Western Australia. Their separate EAST edition was founded in June 2002 on the same principle of quality, independent editorial supported by targeted advertising. In January 2010 they are publishing their 184th issue, a testament to the strength and vitality of the Australian holistic industry. NOVA is the most widely circulated holistic magazine in Australia with 125,000 copies monthly in two editions, EAST and WEST, available from more than 1900 locations.
Evans is a journalist by training and has a varied background in all forms of media, from newspapers to national radio broadcasting. Her step into the role as editor and co-publisher of NOVA was a natural progression bringing her communication skills into serving the industry that has had a place in her heart since early adulthood, the holistic industry.
Margaret's proudest achievement in business has been to guide NOVA's journey east from its origins in Western Australia to successfully establish an EAST edition. Founded in 2002, this edition now has 85,000 copies each month available in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, the Gold Coast and major regional centers. The foundation WEST edition has a further 40,000 copies monthly for Perth and regional centers in Western Australia.
The publication is available at no cost at health food stores and natural therapy clinics as well as many other outlets of various types including independent cinemas. They also offer a yearly subscription for a reasonable fee.
NOVA is a great community of writers and practitioners combining holistic knowledge and spiritual wisdom. Margaret believes it is the depth of their knowledge and commitment to making a difference in the world that distinguishes NOVA. It is a great privilege for Evans to bring their thoughts together each month in a new issue.
NOVA has also recently launched http://www.novamagazine.co.nz to bring their holistic message to our nearest neighbour, New Zealand. This will soon be followed by a print edition to be distributed free in New Zealand's major centers.
Evan's believes NOVA's growth will continue to be very exciting, reflecting the increasing importance of a holistic viewpoint as the answer to many of the world's problems. There will always be a place for a print magazine complemented by an increasing online presence which allows them to overcome physical distance, just as they have already achieved in their own country of vast distances.
Margaret received a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma in Education from Western Australia University.
Evans enjoys golf and Tai Chi in her leisure time.
