Phenomenal Photography Professional Is Pictured In The Prestigious Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who
Tom Keck has been accepted among the ranks of premier professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of his phenomenal work in the Photography Industry.
DEL MAR, CA, April 8, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Tom Keck has been accepted among the ranks of premier professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of his phenomenal work in the Photography Industry. As a freelance photographer running his own business as Tom Keck Photography, as well as throughout his brilliant 50 plus year career, Tom has consistently performed at an extraordinary level.
Tom began his photography career shooting surfing photos in the 1950's when he was attending college in Hawaii. Using mostly black and white film, he captured some classic moments along the North Shore of Oahu in the late 1950's, early 1960's. Tom took some incredible photos of such surfing greats as Peter Cole, Greg Noll and Rell Sunn.
Tom has done everything from having his own photography studio in Del Mar to working full time as a news cameraman for KGTV Channel 10. He worked for ABC and the film industry for over 18 years. Tom has also contributed to the LA Times as well as numerous surfing magazines.
Mr. Keck is an award-winning photographer with several Emmy's to his credit as well as being inducted into the Surfing Hall of Fame in 1993 for his photography work. He has an extensive collection of vintage surfing photos, many of which have never been published.
During his educational career, Tom attended Brigham Young University in Hawaii where he studied Elementary Education. He is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers Association and the National Photoshop Professionals Association. Tom enjoys surfing and sailing as well as other water sports in the time away from his busy schedule.
