Anne Phillips Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Anne Phillips celebrates 18 years in the publishing industry
Ontario, Canada, June 04, 2010 /Magazines PR News/ -- Anne Phillips, Editor of The Summit Group, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in publishing.
After completing college coursework, Ms. Phillips became a certified medical laboratory technician in 1973. Settling in Ottawa after travelling for many years with her growing family, she began her career in publishing as an office manager for a small contract publishing firm. Presently, Ms. Phillips serves as the Editor in Chief for Summit: Canada's magazine on public sector purchasing - a national magazine with readers at all levels of the Canadian public sector. As an editor for The Summit Group, she also works on reports, training materials and books for Canadian government, university and international clients. In this position she excels in reviewing and editing content, interacting with designers, working with the award program, attending seminars and conferences, and occasionally moderating sessions.
Ms. Phillips has utilized her communication skills to develop her own company, Ierraco Inc., of which she currently serves as president. She has recently acquired the exclusive rights to market two products in Canada that are manufactured in the United States. The products include an organic liquid fish fertilizer, which is unique in that it can be used in commercial fine mesh drip irrigations systems and home gardens and has no smell; and the Sharps TerminatorTM, which is an innovative way to dispose of used needles, eliminating the potential of needle pricks.
Ms. Phillips is a former member of the National Press Club, an active member of the Parliamentary Spouse Association and is the Communications Director for the Conservative Parliamentary Spouse Association. In the future, in addition to growing her business, she intends to become more involved in public speaking.
